Killer openings that you should never use!
You have made the first call, uncovered opportunities and then sent information and a letter.
You follow up. "Hello Ms Peters, this is Andrew Wilson from John Smith Consulting. Do you have any questions on the literature that I sent to you?"
"No Andrew I don't, but if I do I will call you. Thank you for calling goodbye." - You are stunned and disappointed - what has happened? - you lost control.
Openings to avoid:
"did you get it?"
"Did you receive it?"
"Did you read it?"
"did you like the literature?"
"Do you have any questions?"
"What can I do for you today?"
"How is everything going?"
"How is the weather?"
"How are you?"
"What can I get for you today?"
"What did you think of it?"
"I am just calling to make sure you got it."
